RESIDENTIAL PORTFOLIO
Private Residence
North Arlington, Virginia
In
a quiet, tree-lined Arlington neighborhood, this existing residence
was extensively remodeled. This stunning new entrance portico
and vestibule welcomes family and friends while incorporating
the existing fieldstone walls.
The
backyard pool area is a natural extension of the home’s interior
entertaining space, and the rooms in the back of the house were
designed to take advantage of the tranquil view of the gardens,
pool are and beautiful, mature trees.
The
huge new kitchen, perfect for family dinners and casual entertaining,
was part of the extensive remodeling that added a new upper floor,
expanded the main floor, and created a more open floor plan.
| Much
of the original fabric of the home, including the fieldstone walls,
was left intact and the new work was designed to harmonize with and
highlight the exceptional architectural features of the existing house. |
