Bishop Ireton High School
Alexandria, Virginia

The latest project in the 15-year relationship between Bishop Ireton High School and Bass Architects was this 800-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art audio and theatrical systems.

Bass Architects began working with Bishop Ireton High School in 1989 when the school was converted from all-boys to a co-educational format.

Over the years, Bass has helped Bishop Ireton upgrade the facility to make it handicapped accessible, provide more modern features and extensive technology, and to include life safety systems (sprinklers, etc.).

The latest addition to the school included 14 additional classrooms, including music and performing arts rehearsal space. Classrooms are fully wired for an extensive classroom computer system that expands the educational reach of the school and gives its students access to the latest technology and information.
